Texas Department on Aging statistics indicate that up to 85% of Texans over age 65 are at risk of malnutrition due to risk factors including isolation, poverty, disability, chronic prescription drug misuse, and poor dietary choices.
Locally, the Area Agency on Aging funds two programs addressing the nutritional needs of older Concho Valley residents. Those are congregate meals and home delivered meals.
